SUMMER INTENSIVES

Through a comprehensive dance curriculum taught by our distinguished TMBT instructors, our summer intensive enriches the unique gifts of aspiring young artists in a safe and supportive studio environment while cultivating a deep love and respect for the dance art form.  Under the guidance of Education Director Christine Welker, students are given the opportunity to train and be coached by the Founding members of TMBT, TMBT dancers, and esteemed guest faculty. All classes will be held face to face with limited spots available.

INTERMEDIATE INTENSIVES

Intermediate Ballet Intensive

3 Week

Dates:

June 7th - 26th | M-F | 9:30am-3:00pm

Ages:

11 - 15yrs

Intensive

Students joining the Intermediate Ballet Intensive will develop a deeper understanding of their classical ballet technique while learning the skills to express themselves as dancers. Students should have at least 2 to 3 years of ballet experience and at least one year of pointe. All classes will be held face to face with limited spots available.

One Week
Ballet Intensive

*Virtual Audition only. If only auditioning for the One Week Ballet Intensive you can register for any audition date (age/level appropriate) and select the box to be considered for the One Week Ballet Intensive.
If you have attended one of Terminus’ other summer intensives you are eligible to hold a spot.

Went away for the summer but still want to train with Terminus! Join us as you wrap up your summer training for a week filled with exquisite training from the one and only Terminus Team! Find out why our students love team Terminus. All classes will be held face to face with limited spots available.

Requirements
Students joining the Intermediate level should have at least 2 to 3 years of ballet experience and at least one year of pointe. Students joining the Advanced level should have at least 5 years of classical ballet training. Female students should have 2 to 3 years of experience on pointe.

ADVANCED INTENSIVES

Advanced Ballet Intensive

3 Weeks

June 28th - July 17th
M-F | 9:30am-4:30pm
Saturday | 9:30am-12:30pm

Ages:

14-19yrs

Intensive

In this Advanced Ballet Intensive students will learn to perfect their classical ballet technique while combining their intuitive contemporary movements to fully prepare themselves to express their artistry. Students joining this intensive should be of the Advanced level with at least 5 years of classical ballet training. Female students should have 2 to 3 years of experience on pointe. All classes will be held face to face with limited spots available.

Students auditioning for the Advanced Choreography Intensive can view and learn our contemporary phrase here!
Advanced Choreography Intensive

*10% discount applied if attending another summer Intensive with Terminus. 

Students joining the Advanced Choreography Intensive will train in both ballet and contemporary techniques while exploring and expressing their own choreographic voices led by Terminus’ own choreographers as well as esteemed guests. Students should be of the advanced level with at least 4 years of ballet technique. Female dancers should have some experience in pointe work. 

Disciplines will include: Ballet technique, Contemporary Ballet, Choreography, Contemporary Partnering (if permitting), Improvisation Techniques, and Repertoire.  

All classes will be held face to face with limited spots available.

M-Sat | 10:00am - 5:00pm

VIRTUAL Registration

Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email. *If you would like to be considered for the One Week Ballet Intensive July 26th-31st please specify on your audition registration form. 
A  Zoom link/ Meeting ID with password will be sent the Friday before your audition date to the email provided in the audition registration form. Students should set aside 1.5 hours to 2 hours for Zoom audition classes.

Covid-19 Safety Procedures

The TMBT team is dedicated to maintaining the most stringent health, cleaning, and social distancing standards in place to keep everyone dancing safely and strong.

Health Standards 
● Signage at entrances and throughout the facility to remind students and faculty of the enhanced sanitation procedures and social distancing requirements 
● Signage at all entrances instructing faculty and students that they cannot enter if they have been diagnosed with COVID-19, have exhibited symptoms of COVID-19, or had contact with a person that has or is suspected to have COVID-19 within the past fourteen (14) days 
● Screening and evaluating all faculty and students for any sign of illness at drop-off, and preventing any student or faculty from entering that exhibits a temperature greater than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, other respiratory symptoms, or two or more of the following symptoms: chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, pink eye (conjuntivitis), or new loss of taste or smell 
● Requiring that any faculty or student who exhibits signs of illness should remain at home and if they are on site, they will be separated from the group to a designated area immediately, and must leave the studio as soon as practicable 
● Any faculty or student who has stayed home sick, been prevented from entering program due to signs of illness, or who has been sent home during the program due to signs of illness, will not be permitted to attend classes until they have either had a negative COVID 19 test or have been fever and fever medication free for at least seventy-two (72) hours, other symptoms have improved, and at least ten (10) days have passed since symptoms first appeared 
● Requiring the studio to close for forty-eight (48) hours for cleaning and disinfecting in the event a student, faculty member, or person who is diagnosed with COVID-19 is determined to have been in the building and poses a risk to the program 
● Providing a separate designated space for each student to store personal belongings throughout the program 
● Requiring and providing, if needed, masks for use during open hours and classes for all faculty, and students
● To the extent possible, keeping the same faculty and students in the same group for the duration of the program.
● Requiring students to wash or sanitize their hands during each group restroom break and snack break 
● Providing hand sanitizer stations for students and faculty in multiple and frequently used locations, including check in and check out location and also requiring regular use 
● Requiring parents to drop-off and pick-up only and prohibiting unnecessary visitors to program activities and facilities 
● Providing only pre-packaged water to dancers. Please do not use the water fountain 

Cleaning Standards 
● Disinfecting and sanitizing all frequently touched surfaces regularly throughout the day with an additional deep cleaning in-between different groupings of students 
● Providing disinfectant and sanitation wipes for faculty and staff to clean their workspace, equipment, and tools 
● Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and common spaces regularly throughout open hours 
● Washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds as frequently as possible or using hand sanitizer
 
Social Distancing 
● Students will be placed in pre determined marked studio spots no closer than 6 feet apart 
● Spots will be mapped out and marked with tape for studio classes, bathroom facility waiting area, and common spaces and/or changing rooms 
● Allowing only two people in the bathroom facility at any given time
● Limiting the number of faculty and students in the studio to no more than 10 to prevent overcrowding and to assist in mandatory six-foot distancing
● Requiring and providing, if needed, masks for use during open hours and classes for all faculty, staff, and students
● No physical contact between dancers and/or staff 
● No gear sharing (foam rollers, resistance bands,...)
